I Coughed Up A Huge Green

We were 20! The Triple

There is always a reason to celebrate. The saw also 25 geographers of the National Association of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania so and met on 06.11.2010 in Greifswald at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University in the Department of Geography. Upon arrival on campus, we saw cranes and fences and in the bright shine and full of life, the new university library.
The memories of the young students came back quickly at the sight of the lecture hall and student cellar. Even the smell in the old church had not changed.
that we do not Students were more, we felt the latest from the friendly welcome by Dr. Karin Richter, the very lovely served a snack with coffee and organic juices.

10.00 Just in time clock opened the chairman of the National Association MV Sabine Geisler with a glass of champagne the event.
a warm welcome to Prof. Meincke
Many thanks to Inge Heiner
particular we were pleased that Dr. Meinke took part as honorary guest. 20 years National Association of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a review and outlook made us clear how quickly time has passed and yet how many projects were implemented by us. In this context, they honored long-time members. The grand finale was a Low German statement on the importance of geography, said as early as Rudolf Tarnow and humorous down on paper. reads
Mr. Tarnow Lasanske
Greifswald is always a journey. Of which could Dr. Brunner convince us with great devotion in a lecture on Urban Development Greifswald after 1990. Greifswald was, is and remains a special place. 1988 as a socialist "fast city" She missed only 12 000 inhabitants. Today, students meet again the life of the city (a remarkable 12 000 are 48 000 non-student Greifswald). This high number of students registered Greifswald, despite the large number of prefabricated buildings only 1% of vacant housing.
Dr. Brunner
After each should follow the practice and theory so we followed the footsteps of Dr. Brunner through the streets and markets of Greifswald (not to forget the past and present student night retreats).
The Pomeranian Museum with its famous beyond the borders of the exhibition of the famous romantic Greifswald, showed us that a museum need not be boring.
is old and new are side by side

With the good feeling of Greifswald an attractive town full of life and change, we left in the dark the place of our shared memories.
thanks again especially Dr. Karen Richter for organizing this exciting day.
